What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a device to create tiny punctures in the skin.

Microneedling is also sometimes called collagen induction therapy or percutaneous collagen induction.

What does Microneedling help with?

Microneedling is said to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks.

What is the process for a Microneedling treatment?

Microneedling is usually performed by a qualified medical professional.

The person receiving the treatment will be numbed with a local anesthetic cream or gel. Then, the Microneedling device will be passed over the skin in order to create tiny punctures.

These tiny punctures will stimulate the skin to produce new collagen and elastin. Microneedling can be done on the face, neck, chest, abdomen, or other areas of the body.

Are there any side effects of Microneedling?

The most common side effects of Microneedling are redness and swelling of the skin. Other potential side effects include bleeding, bruising, and infection.

Who should not get Microneedling?

You should not get Microneedling if you have an active skin infection, have a bleeding disorder, take blood thinning medications, have diabetes, or have a weakened immune system.

Does Microneedling work to tighten loose skin?

Microneedling can help to tighten loose skin. The tiny punctures that are created during the Microneedling treatment stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin.

This new collagen and elastin can help to tighten the skin.

What serum or liquid is used with Microneedling treatments?

There are a variety of serums or liquids that can be used with Microneedling treatments.

These serums or liquids can contain hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, platelet rich plasma (PRP) or other ingredients that can improve the appearance of the skin.

Can Microneedling be used to help with hair loss?

Microneedling can be used to help with hair loss. Microneedling creates tiny punctures in the scalp, which can help to stimulate new hair growth.

Microneedling is often used in combination with other treatments, such as PRP or minoxidil.

What is the difference between Microneedling and rolling the skin?

Microneedling and rolling the skin are both ways to create tiny punctures in the skin. Microneedling is usually done with a Microneedling device, while rolling the skin can be done with a derma roller.

Microneedling is generally more effective than rolling the skin because the Microneedling device can create deeper and more uniform punctures.

How much does Microneedling cost?

Microneedling treatments can vary in cost, depending on the number of treatments that are purchased, the location of the treatment, the type of Microneedling device that is used, and whether or not serums or PRP are added.

Microneedling treatments typically range from $200 to $800 per session.
